How to setup a Permanent Access Product

This article will provide details on how to set a permanent access product. This will give an end user 24/7 access to the car park either through a recurring monthly payment or a completely free product

• Step 1: Go to Management > Permanent Rates
• Step 2: Click Add new record
• Step 3: Fill in all relevant details

Step 1: Go to Management > Permanent Rates

• This is where you can go to see a list of existing permanent products or add a new product

When setting up a new product, it is a good idea to check other existing products to see how something has been setup in the past.

Step 2: Click Add new record

• This will allow you to setup a completely new product which can be later assigned to a new user
• All the business rules are configured in this location

Step 3: Fill in all relevant details

• Go through the complete form and turn on important details
• Important fields include:
  • Name
  • Type - See details in table below 
  • Discount Override - Allows you to set a discount on a user by user basis when approving or rejecting an applicant
  • Multi Purchase - Allows an end user to pay for more spaces during the one checkout process
  • Auto Approve - Whether each applicant needs to be manually approved by staff members or not
  • Public - When providing a direct link to register to this product this must be turned on so the end user can see this product
  • License Plate Display
  • License Plate Required
  • Heading Text - A blurb that will appear at the top of the registration page
  • Information Text - A blurb that will appear underneath the Heading Text
  • Promotion Text - A blurb that will appear at the bottom of the registration page

There are many other fields that can be turned on depending on requirements. If there is an active integration it would be best to reach out to the UbiPark support team to provide any additional details on how to configure a product to work for the integration

Step 4: Adding a rate to the Monthly Parking product

• Go to the Rates tab
• Click on Add new record
• Fill in the required details

If you have not checked on the Reserved/Unreserved checkbox settings in the previous setup then the Type field will be set to N/A

Step 5: Save

• The monthly parking product is now setup and users can now be invited to join this product
